Sidecar

Paris or London just after the First World War, supposedly named after an officer's motorcycle sidecar. Cognac, orange liqueur and lemon: the brandy sour, rich and sharp with an optional sugar rim.

1. Wet half the rim of a chilled coupe with lemon and dip it in

2. Add to a shaker

   45 ml90 ml135 ml180 ml	Cognac / brandy— not in stock
   25 ml50 ml75 ml100 ml	Cointreau / triple sec— not in stock
   20 ml40 ml60 ml80 ml	Lemon juice (fresh)— not in stock

3. Shake hard with cubed ice for 10 seconds

4. Fine strain into the coupe, no ice

5. Garnish with sugar rim, orange zest twist
