Negroni
Florence, 1919: Count Camillo Negroni asked for his Americano stiffened with gin instead of soda. Equal parts make it bitter, sweet and bracing all at once — the aperitivo that tastes like the start of an evening.

Add to a mixing glass
30 ml60 ml90 ml120 ml Gin (London dry)— not in stock 30 ml60 ml90 ml120 ml Sweet (rosso) vermouth— not in stock 30 ml60 ml90 ml120 ml Campari— not in stock Stir with cubed ice for 20–30 seconds, until cold and lightly diluted
Strain into an old-fashioned glass over one large ice cube
Garnish with orange slice
