Boulevardier

The Negroni's Paris cousin from the 1920s, named after Erskine Gwynne's expat magazine. Bourbon replaces gin, so the bitterness of Campari lands on caramel and oak instead of juniper — richer, rounder, a winter drink.

  1. Add to a mixing glass

    45 ml90 ml135 ml180 mlBourbon— not in stock
    30 ml60 ml90 ml120 mlSweet (rosso) vermouth— not in stock
    30 ml60 ml90 ml120 mlCampari— not in stock
  2. Stir with cubed ice for 20–30 seconds

  3. Strain into an old-fashioned glass over one large ice cube

  4. Garnish with orange zest twist
